Tribal Museum, Gujarat
The Honourable Prime Minister in his speech on 15th August 2016 announced the government’s desire and plan to build Museums in states where Tribals lived, struggled against the British and contributed towards the freedom struggle. Currently there are several museums is different states, however, these museums are depicted in the form of cultural museums.
The Development Support Agency of Gujarat (D-SAG) initiated the project in order to give tribute to the tribal freedom fighters and due admiration to their struggle, sensitise present and future generation about the tribal contribution to the freedom struggle. The objective of the project is to not only showcase it as cultural museum, but also showcase historical events, struggles during the British Raj, display rich culture, heritage and tradition, including a tribal and anthropological research centre.
The project includes preparation of the detailed Project Report comprising of design of building, interior, exterior, auditorium, gallery with latest facilities such as 3D and 7D holographic technology, land development, basic infrastructure, amenities for visitors/public, electrical works, lighting.
Scope
- DPR service includes design, structural calculation, soil testing, detailed design of building with complete specification, estimation of bill of quantities, its cost, interior, exterior, landscape, estimation of manpower required to manage and run the museum and other required infrastructure, basic amenities.
