Marina Beach Development, Mumbai
A marina is a sheltered harbour designed primarily for yachts and other small craft and where services geared to the needs of recreational boating are found. It is a facility required for safe anchorage and parking of small speed boats, pleasure crafts and yachts.
A Marina in Mumbai is very much in demand as the yachts / pleasure boats have to be parked in open sea anchored outside Gateway of India in absence of such a facility. Mumbai has more than 200 registered pleasure boats requiring Marina and allied facilities.
The purpose and objective of this project is to provide a Marina for the city of Mumbai while creating a landmark/icon with the best in class sustainable infrastructure. The scope included financial, technical feasibility and implementing of operation and maintenance strategy.
