Dhandbad is the most populated city in Jharkhand. Over the years due to rapid industrialization the number of public and private vehicles has increased tremendously.
Dhanbad is popular for its coal mines and is in close proximity to other industrial towns in Jharkhand. This has immensely increased the movement of passenger and good vehicle putting an enormous amount of pressure on existing roads.
The Jharkhand government prioritised strengthening the road network and initiated the project to redevelop and redesign the existing road network and facilitate other amenities around it.
